1. Can I apply for the Masters program if I have a diploma but have not completed a bachelors degree?
No, universities do not accept applicants without a bachelor’s degree.
2. Can I apply if I am working on the Myanmar-Thailand border?
Yes, we consider applicants with experience working with ethnic groups and in remote areas.
3. Is it mandatory to fill in the Passport Number and GPA?
Yes, applicants must provide both their passport number and GPA.
4. What do you mean by professional and academic referees?
A professional referee should be a supervisor or colleague, while an academic referee should be from a university or academic institution.
5. Can a private medical doctor apply for the scholarship, or is it only for those working in community organizations?
We prioritize applicants with experience working with ethnic groups and remote communities. However, if you are interested, we encourage you to apply. The selection committee and university will evaluate your application.
6. Should I only write the title and objectives of my research proposal, or should I use the IMRAD format?
You need to describe your vision and tasks based on your proposal and past experience, similar to an essay.
7. Can I apply without a bachelor's degree certificate but with other training certificates?
You may apply with these documents, but the final decision will be made by the review team and interview panel.
8. Can I submit two professional references if I cannot get an academic reference?
An academic reference is preferred, but if unavailable, you may submit two professional references. The university will decide if this is acceptable.
9. I lost my academic transcripts due to displacement. Can I still apply?
Transcripts are mandatory. However, you can apply and explain your situation during the interview process.
10. Can I use an IELTS result taken more than two years ago?
You may apply with your existing IELTS result. The university will determine if an updated test is required.
11. Can I apply with a Certificate of Identification (CI) instead of a passport?
Yes, as long as you can travel to the university.
12. Will lectures be in English?
Yes, lectures will be conducted in English, primarily by Thai professors.
13. Is a draft of the research project mandatory?
Yes, a draft of your research project is required for the Mahidol University application.
14. Can I attach my research proposal draft under the academic objectives section?
Yes, you may attach your research proposal.
15. Do documents in Burmese need to be notarized?
Yes, both the original and notarized copies of degree certificates and transcripts are required.
