Terms of Service (CPI Scholarships)

1. Agreement to these Terms

By accessing or using scholarships.cpintl.org, creating an account, or submitting an application, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Site.

2. Who may use the Site

You may use the Site if:

  • You can form a binding agreement where you live, and
  • You will provide accurate, truthful information.

Scholarship eligibility criteria vary by program and are described on the Site.

3. Accounts and security

  • You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials.
  • You agree to notify us promptly if you believe your account has been compromised.
  • We may suspend or disable accounts that appear to be used fraudulently or in violation of these Terms.

4. Scholarship applications

The Site provides information and an application process that may include multi-step forms, essays, and document uploads. You agree that:

  • All information you submit is accurate and complete to the best of your knowledge.
  • You will not submit forged, misleading, or unlawfully obtained documents.
  • You will not share private “resume” links created by the save-progress feature (these links are intended to be confidential and may expire).

No guarantee: Submitting an application does not guarantee selection, funding, admission to any university, or any particular outcome.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Site, user accounts, or systems
  • Upload malware or harmful code
  • Interfere with the Site’s operation (e.g., scraping, DDoS, automated form submissions)
  • Use the Site in a way that violates applicable laws or infringes others’ rights

6. Intellectual property

The Site and its content (text, design, logos, images, and materials) are owned by CPI or used with permission and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may view and use the Site for personal, non-commercial purposes related to scholarship exploration and application.

7. Your submissions

You retain ownership of the content you submit (essays, documents, etc.). By submitting content through the Site, you grant CPI a limited license to use, store, review, and process your submission for scholarship administration, evaluation, reporting, and related program purposes, consistent with the Privacy Policy.

8. Third-party services and links

The Site may include links to third-party websites (e.g., university pages). CPI does not control and is not responsible for third-party services, content, or policies.

9. Disclaimers

The Site is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. While we try to keep information accurate and the Site functioning well, we do not warrant uninterrupted access or that the Site will be error-free.

10. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, CPI will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, profits, or goodwill arising from your use of (or inability to use) the Site.

11. Termination

We may suspend or terminate access to the Site (including accounts) if we reasonably believe:

  • You violated these Terms,
  • Your activity poses a security risk, or
  • We must do so to comply with law.

12. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms occasionally. Updates will be posted with a new effective date. Continued use of the Site after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
